Concussion & Vestibular Therapy
finding balance.
Concussion and vestibular rehabilitation focuses on helping your brain and body work together again after a concussion, head injury, or disruption to the balance system. Symptoms can vary from person to person and may include dizziness, headaches, visual disturbances, balance difficulties, nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, fatigue or difficulty concentrating.
Our approach begins with a thorough assessment to understand how your symptoms are affecting your movement, balance, vision and daily life. From there, we create an individualized treatment plan designed to support recovery and help you gradually return to the activities that matter to you.
Concussion & vestibular therapy may include:
vestibular rehabilitation and balance exercises
gaze stabilization and eye–head coordination exercises
graded exposure to movement and activity
balance and coordination training
exercises to improve tolerance to visual and environmental stimuli
education around pacing, activity modification and recovery
individualized rehabilitation to support a safe return to work, school, sport and everyday activities
Concussion & vestibular therapy can help with:
